Description
Position Summary
Nautilus Solar Energy’s (“NSE”) Senior Analyst of Business Development will work closely with the Business Development and M&A teams to identify and evaluate development-stage and operational solar projects and portfolios for NSE to acquire, own, and operate. The Sr. Analyst will be a key member of the Business Team helping to support a variety of acquisition and business development-related activities.
The position reports to the Executive Director of Origination. It is a full-time remote opportunity with anticipated travel of 10%. The ideal candidate would be located in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Denver.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and evaluate potential solar acquisition opportunities.
- Support Business Development personnel making customer first contact calls and coordinating initial meetings.
- Create, review, and understand solar project financial models.
- Gather and review project information for internal review and pricing.
- Identify new potential development partners and research existing partners. • Assist in researching state and local policies, utility tariffs, program rules, and other various assignments.
- Organize Business Development events, offsites and trainings.
- Provide other assistance to the Business Development team upon request. • Monitor, track, and report market updates through industry periodicals, interconnection queues, and program capacity lists
- Assist senior personnel in bid and RFP responses.
- Review and manage data rooms for project diligence.
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or other related field
- 2 years or more of relevant solar industry experience
- Strong understanding of community solar policies and programs. Solar project development and finance experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
- Ability to navigate a financial model in Excel
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
