What we’re looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join the community solar business development team. The seasoned candidate will play a key role by supporting the business development team’s solar portfolio acquisition, development and contracting by responding to Requests-For-Proposals (RFPs), the creation of standard and custom proposals and templates, supporting partner due diligence material requests, CRM management, corporate reporting and planning support.

The Proposal Manager role will require a hands-on approach to support each team member’s assigned partnerships, including but not limited to creating standard “off-the-shelf” proposals as well as customized proposals as requested. This role will be expected on occasion to quickly perform ad-hoc analysis and create new customized materials as needed. This individual will be expected to coordinate with the team regularly on project needs, timelines and ensure that the team CRM is updated and organized to ensure compliance with corporate reporting needs. The ideal candidate possesses strong organization skills, the ability to operate in a fast paced and complex industry.

Arcadia is headquartered in Washington, DC with a NYC outpost. We are prioritizing candidates residing in the following states that we are registered in: CA, CO, DC, GA, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, PA,TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA. This role will report to the Director of Business Development, Community Solar. #LI-REMOTE

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for all bids and proposals, including RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s (RFx’s), and a variety of informal requests for product and project information
  • Reviews requests to evaluate the scope, deliverables, and alignment with Arcadia capabilities
  • Responsible for the creation of “off-the-shelf” sales collateral for use by the team
  • Leads all content development and organization for use by the team
  • Ensures CRM organization and compliance with corporate reporting requirements
  • Collects and incorporates all technical, management, and pricing content in accordance with established formats and approved schedules
  • Organizes and leads bid review meetings, including bid/no-bid, and ensures winning strategies are established and clearly conveyed during proposal development
  • Schedules reports on proposal activities to the business development team and executive leadership
  • Manages and schedules resources, project timelines, and production efforts to ensure timely support on proposal responses and partnership needs
  • Consults with technical, capture, pricing, and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure strategic presentation and flow of content to maximize win probability

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in full lifecycle proposal management
  • Ability to execute under tight timelines with a calm hand
  • Writes in accordance with established brand guidelines and with an attention to detail
  • Strong organizational habits
  • Strong interpersonal skills


  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in creating and maintaining sales collateral and proposal materials
  • Experience working in energy or utilities, especially in community solar
