Position Summary 

Nautilus Solar Energy’s (“NSE”) Business Development Manager will establish relationships/partnerships  with qualified national corporations driving community solar subscriptions and power purchase agreements  across all NSE markets. These partnerships will target the corporation as well as their customers and  employees as subscribers. The manager will maintain these relationships and be collaborative with the  community solar team and various levels of management. Research will be conducted on competing  organizations, industry trends and customer demographics. This position reports to the Community Solar  Director. This position is salaried full-time, 40 hours per week. It is currently remote.

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish relationships/partnerships with qualified national corporations 
  • Execute subscription contracts with corporations. 
  • Implement programs within subscribed corporations targeting employees and  customers as potential subscribers. 
  • Negotiate long term contracts. 
  • Provide guidance on all aspects of community solar 
  • Track and report on results of partnerships. 
  • Evaluate and improve subscription strategies. 
  • Analyze customer trends to refine outreach strategies to meet subscription goals. Perform competitor analysis to stay at the head of the market. 
  • Implement and maintain customer communication and feedback channels. 
  • Analyze business operations and strategies for current and new markets and increase  market share. 
  • Act as a liaison between business development team, management team and customers  for systematic and procedural implementation of new opportunities.

Requirements: 

  • College degree or relevant experience: Business, Communications or Marketing majors  preferred. 
  • Solar or energy industry experience preferred 
  • Business to business sales experience: 4 years preferred. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of business development and sales strategies. 
  • Awareness of and interest in renewable energy preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial  environment 
  • Working knowledge of Excel, word, power point 
  • Possess analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels and functions of the organization as well  as with external parties such as customers 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills 
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
