Nautilus Solar Energy (NSE) Community Solar Onboarding Associate will be responsible for managing overall community solar subscriber operations and coordinate closely with Nautilus Solar Solutions (NSE’s asset management arm) on subscriber management efforts for our community solar portfolio.  This position reports to the Community Solar Director.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Project/Subscriber Onboarding

  • Work closely with Community Solar Director on Customer setup and initiation after the Service Commencement Date
  • Assist Community Solar Director with various subscriber enrollment and verification tasks
  • Review and be familiar with various provider software platforms
    • Ensure all subscriber contracts and information are uploaded to platform prior to project commencement date
  • Support the Portfolio Management team on the set-up of bank accounts and project payment gateways prior to project commencement date 
  • Oversee the submittal of initial subscriber lists to Utility
  • Ensure providers have access to the solar project’s data acquisition system to track project’s solar production 
  • Review project’s subscriber contracts and terms
  • Review community solar provider agreements and understand terms and payment schedules

Subscriber Management

  • Manage the ongoing Subscriber Management process and providers
    • Act as the main point of contact for Community Solar partners and assist with onboarding requests as needed 
    • Lead regular calls with providers to track operational issues and drive answers when needed
    • Oversee customer communications to ensure all subscribers are properly educated and notified of project milestones and/or any changes to their allocations
    • Ensure monthly reports from Community Solar partners are delivered in a timely manner
  • Work with the Portfolio Management team to manage reviewing of monthly reports and track customer churn
    • Support the Portfolio Management team in reviewing monthly reports and ensuring revenue details are correct
    • Oversee tracking and redistributing of accrued credits from unallocated generation, as allowed by Utility tariffs and processes
  • Oversee and resolve issues related to new projects coming online 
  • Ensure software platforms are up to date with the most current subscriber contracts and information

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year degree required
  • Strong Excel, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties such as banks, lawyers, customers and contractors
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to undertake complex tasks
  • Project oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Community solar project/customer management experience, proven project reporting of financial, work and schedule progress
  • Organizational and process orientation skills to clearly maintain project documentation, correspondence and related files
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • Proficiency with Project planning and Management Software, Microsoft Office 365 including Sharepoint file management and Microsoft Dynamics CRM, PowerPoint, Excel and other similar software
  • Ability to review Schedules and Budgets for accuracy and completeness
  • 1-2 years of relevant project management experience (energy or related sectors); previous community solar experience desirable
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the US
